The Energy Storage and Conversion (ESC) Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) has multiple fully funded Ph.D. positions in the area of energy storage and conversion, smart materials and devices, additive manufacturing, and grid-interactive efficient buildings. · Major: Bachelor or Master degree in science- and engineering-related fields, including but not limited to Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, etc.
· Preferred: Hands-on research experience in phase-change thermal energy storage, soft materials, nanoscale heat transfer, MEMS, 3D printing, etc.
· Openings: Ph.D. students (scholarship available) and visiting students or scholars.

導師介紹：
Dr. Cui received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. She received M.S. and B.S. degrees in Thermal Engineering at Wuhan University, China. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UTD a joint faculty in the Buildings and Thermal Sciences Center at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). She has been a selected participant of The Rising Stars Women in Engineering Workshop at Seoul National University (Korea) and highlighted by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) “Women @ Energy: STEM Rising”. Dr. Cui has published 19 high-impact journal papers, including Energy Conversion and Management, Applied Energy, ACS Nano, and Journal of Materials Chemistry A. Dr. Cui also filed three U.S. patents. She collaborates with scientists and engineers from diverse fields including mechanical, chemical, and civil engineers, material scientists, and chemists from NREL, LBNL, ORNL, UC Berkeley, and MIT. Her research has been supported by multiple federal agencies (DOE BTO, ARPA-E, and NREL) and private sector partners.
